Hey folks,

Well, I arrived this morning (way too early).
Eric S. is here, although I've found him yet.

Hotel caveats -- small, and there are stairs.  Those
of you with heavy luggage be careful (there is a lift,
but there are still a few stairs that may need to be
navigated.)

I fixed the spelling errors for everyone (I think. Any errors
left are mine.)

Re: meeting space.  We've got the Surrey Room in the hotel from
11pm-4am.  I'm arranging for tv & video (bring things to watch, please!)
and hopefully for a cd player and audio equipment, although the
hotel isn't sure that they can get it for me.  (so bring cds too ;-) )

They are going to be leaving the hotel bar (just down the lobby
from the meeting room) open for us, so that should take care of
refreshment ;-)

Cost -- well, far too much, as I expected.  Any and all chipping
in is gratefully (very, very gratefully) appreciated!

For those arriving on the 29th, I think that you should be able
to check in early (prenoon, if necessary).

I tried to arrange for late check out on the 30th (for those leaving
then), but they need the rooms....so alas, but noon was the latest I could
manage.

Other hotel caveats -- it seems a bit old (an older hotel converted
to a Quality Hotel at a later date), but still serviceable.  The
conference facilities are a bit prehistoric, but hopefully they'll do.

I'm not unhappy with it (given price), but please forgive me if it isn't
up to snuff :-(, since I hadn't an opportunity to visit first.
