This is really very crappy news. It does say 'personal reasons' so I'm
assuming it's not a financial decision. And I wonder about Richard's
girlfriend that was on dialysis for a long while...I hope she's ok. (She
was a 'Hippy Slag' w/ Bridgett if you know the T.A.T. album. That's right,
innit?)

Well, without trying to sound so negative - as nice as it would be to see
what Harvey's been up to, I can't see as though this tour is going to do
much of anything wonderful for 'space rock.' In fact, it could very well
hurt things, if a seemingly 'half-assed' attempt at keeping it on is chosen.
I imagine that if Paul (of Quarkspace) wants to still play w/ Harvey +
whoever else, it'll have to be moved back over to Ruby's...I doubt a club
like Little Bros. will keep the show. And because it's already been
advertised with 'Hawkwind' in the description, people are going to be confused.

I would argue that Jim should probably bag the whole thing, and just
concentrate on quickly getting a 'headlining' quality act to put on Saturday
evening at SD2000. Who though?

This year had so much promise! What the hell happened?

Oh, well, I always have a great time at SD, and I'm one that doesn't much
care how big the names are. But I recognize that Jim can't be successful
without them.

P.S. Jerry told me that he's got a CD-R with 4 Star Nation tracks, and that
the one he put up on A-I.com radio was the one really good one. (Please
don't ask me to burn a bunch of pirate copies for everyone...I don't know
what the band's intentions are for them. Especially now.)

P.P.S. The Ozrics have a new CD out, I see. Anybody heard it?
