Not true!!!!!  There are some enlightened bands who allow fans to tape
and trade their live music.  My little collection of Gov't Mule MPEG
Audio live shows is linked to from the band's official WWW page, for
example.  There are other sites, like sugarmegs, for example, that have
archives of live shows from bands that allow taping.

I agree.  Remember the old adage: buy what they sell; share what they
give!
