Hawkwind/ Blake's 7 link?

The 'official' story post-Gauda Prime is that Vila faked his death and
escapes and Avon was only stunned. All the others there (including Blake)
were killed; Jenna had returned to her pirating haunts and doesn't return.

There's a long drawn out plot (that makes TotH look untacky) involving Avon
being rescued by Vila, Avon's sister, an organic computer more powerful than
Orac (which I seem to recall Avon ends up with) resulting in a 3-way
stand-off between Avon, his sister and (I believe) Servalan/Sleer and the
Federation (what's left of it by this time). I'm actually glad they didn't
make another series.

Which means (I think) that Hawkwind appears randomly. Which is a pity,
because I've always thought of HW as more Blakes' 7 than Star Trek.

Bet you asked now :-)
