While I have gotten a FEW good tunes from Napster, I find it similar to
requesting a song from an Album-Oriented-Rock radio station...if it's
"popular", then they have it. If it's not...look somewhere else.

Another problem I run into FREQUENTLY is that even when I find a tune I
want, and I can connect and start a download, the transfer rate is as low as
0.4k/s.

I must add that when I get a good connection at a good speed, Napster is
very cool.

The way Napster works is that it is built on a network of individual Napster
program owners who specify locations on their computers from which files can
be downloaded.     If a Napster program owner is not on-line, then the files
he/she has made available when on-line cannot be accessed.
