Well, this has nothing to do with either the Yankess
or BOC or Hawkwind and so on, but it does have to with
a long time list member, myself, who has no other way to
contact some folks, so ...

I'm involved in a play in NYC that opens in a couple of weeks,
and would love for herds of listfolk to come and see it.
(Actually, herds of any kind of folk would be acceptable.)

The specs are below. The show does contain Louisiana Acadian
music which at times sounds like some of the less coherent
moments in a Hawkwind show (well, sort of), and some of them
would make great songs for the Brain Surgeons to cover
(kind of). OK, that was a stretch.

Any way, come and see the show.

               The Trials of Martin Guerre
                        by
                    Frank Cossa

In the late sixteenth century a young man left his wife, child and home
to be a soldier. Nine years later he returned. Or was it he?
For three years no one doubted, and then accusations began to fly.
If the man was Martin Guerre, why did his uncle claim he wasn't?
If he was not, why did his wife and sisters claim he was?
The facts underlying this famous case of imposture are for
the most part known. The personalities and motives will never be known,
but Frank Cossa's warm and intelligent script gives one possibility,
and one answer to the most compelling question in the case: not who,
but why?
