HW: -ish Star Nation

OK OK OK - I was going to save this for the November news bit of the web
site but let me explain here and now.
Star Nation wnet to the USA, ended up returning home while Jim had the CD's
on him. Originally we were going to sell Jim's 50 CD's, so that Jerry ans
Richard could recoup some of the costs of doing the thing in the first
place, and that would be that, but we had more interest from our 'regular'
clients than 50 (natch) and having leaked it onto this group, we wondered
what to do. Then Jerry didn't get the CD's off Jim, and so we sorted out
plan B. This was to do a maximum run of 150 copies of the CD with all-new
artwork, inside and out, on Centaur, the CD Services in-house CD label. So
while we tried to find a person who could do good quality work for the CD
and the artwork (since found but horribly expensive hence the price), Jerry
and Richard finished the artwork. So now we have the CD and artwork, we have
someone to do the pressing and all we now have to do is a contract with
Jerry and Richard, then we can get the CD out to all of you who want it.
Meanwhile, Jim has now returned the originals to Jerry, and has none himself
to sell.
There will not be a repress and the band didn't want it as an 'official' run
of 500, in case their intention to do a full album comes off one day.
Musically, it's great stuff for those that haven't heard it. We have already
had pre-orders for about half the run, so there's still time if anyone else
is interested......
.......and that's the story. Hope it clears things up.
Andy Garibaldi.
