OFF: MP3 editing software

Hey guys,

Can anyone recommend software (preferably freeware or shareware) that allows
the user to edit mp3 files (as in, make them shorter then the whole song!).
WinAmp doesn't seem to do that, nor RealJukebox... bummer.

I'd appreciate any help!
