RE: VDGGDifficult to describe. Try downloading something off Napster - I'd recommend anything from 'Pawn Hearts' or 'H to He Who Am the Only One'.

Depends on whether you can stand Hammill's vocals. Bit Peter Gabriel-ish with a much higher range, while the music is heavily driven by Organ, Drums and Sax. 

Actually I always thought early Marillion sounded more like VDGG than Genesis.

Hugely influential band they were too.
