OK, OK, I can't resist any longer 8-)

You all know Simon King (http://3lib.ukonline.co.uk/hawkwind) is one of my
heroes, so no. 1 on the list won't be a surprise 8-))

In order:
1) Simon King (organic feel, power, stamina, etc. etc.)
2) Keith Moon (feel and fun and entertainment and activity)
3) Ricky Slaughter (from the original Motors lineup, real name Richard
Wernham)
4) Mike Shrieve (original Santana drummer, e.g. at Woodstock)

Richard's pretty good too, of course, but I wish he'd let himself go a bit
more - his playing's just *too* tight 8-)))
