He hasn't. For now, Genesis R.I.P. is official.

Though there's rumours on alt.music.genesis of a show in Milton Keynes
under the name Old Friends, with Gabriel but most probably without Steve
Hackett.

If you like or like me, used to enjoy Gabriel era stuff 20 years ago and
haven't listened to a note since the punk rock wars of 77, I was
surprised to find the recent Archive Box 1 brilliant!

Box 2 stinks though, all 12" remix 80's b-sides  <gack!>
