HW: how long, how many, and why

a little Hawkwind poll:


*Hawkwind fan: since 1983

*how many CD's: 50-60 HW albums (vinyl and CD), probably another
15-20 by various offshoots (Calvert/ICU/Bedouin/Agents of Chaos etc).

*collects live recordings and other Hawkwind junk: not really. Have a
few live recordings but don't specifically collect them. Not usually
bothered about memorabilia.

*why a Hawkwind fan:
Because... they blew my mind when I was 14, for which I'm still grateful.
I fell madly in love with this hypnotic music and the many strange things
I found in it. Somewhere in the trance, I started to find things in myself
too. If I hadn't discovered Hawkwind, I wouldn't have discovered lots of
other things either, and I'd be a different person today.

*First album you picked up: Choose Your Masques

*Seen live how many times: I think it's 14. Also saw Calvert once, and
Nik's Fantastic Allstars once.

*Nik or Dave: Until fairly recently, both- but have tired of Nik's antics in
recent times :-(
