Sigur Ros - strange brew

Sorry not to respond to this earlier! I've had major email problems
but a nice person came along, performed some rapid internal surgery and
all is better now 8-)

I actually don't know any Dead Can Dance. Somebody said Sigur Ros
reminded him of early Radiohead. I'm not sure if I agree with this
entirely but I can see where it's coming from. Sigur Ros are more the
kind of band that Porcupine Tree should have mutated into (perhaps via
IEM) after Sky Moves Sideways except they kind of fell asleep while
Sigur Ros generate an almost electric intensity on stage. I had the
eerie feeling listing to Sigur Ros that if the world came to a terrible
and catastrophic end this was exactly the kind of music I wanted to be
listening to as it all fell apart - it absorbs you so totally you don't
actually care what else is going on around you!
