You'd think the rest of the world would have the sense to learn from the multiple
mistakes we Americans have made regarding firearms.  Gun crime increases
because the criminals know that there is a smaller likelihood that an honest citizen
will now have a gun to defend his house.  And, making guns illegal doesn't stop
criminals from getting them, as outlaws already have criminal records and can't buy
them legally anyway!  So the law doesn't change the procurement means for
criminals, just honest folks!
