I wouldimagine that this is down to the labels. CRL had access to the
original source master while I would also imagine that the VP one was taken
from an analogue master.
The other fly in the ointment comes from the fact that CRL is eligible
(allegedly) to release their material without requiring any permission from
the band members, while VP are (supposedly) working directly with the band.
In the past VP have released things from "private" collections as well as
those provided by the bands, while the source material for CRL is down a
chain of TV owners, in case of some other than Hawkwind,going back to the
days of Central TV back in 1971.
So, really, the only way this question is going to be answered correctly
here, is by Dave or Voiceprint, I would imagine.
