Hello Everyone!

Wow. So many good posts lately, here on BOC-L. I've been a member for
years but haven't been an active "poster" recently due to school and work
demands.

My main connection to BOC-L is through the people associated with Aural
Innovations. Thanks, Jerry! (I will get to listen to my most recent order
of CDs and vinyl, soon.) Thanks to Keith Henderson, too, for his AI and
BOC-L contributions.

I'm located near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which is a couple hours north of
Chicago, Illinois. (Still need to meet Arin and Rich, from Chicago, in
person.) :-)

I'm also the webmaster for a "prog" radio show, www.planetprog.com. The
host is a huge Eloy fan and I am, of course, a Hawkwind fan. Past shows can
be downloaded from the hosting server, much like the radio shows from AI,
execept in .mp3 format. Got to meet the members of Mr Quimby's Beard when
they swung through Milwaukee a few years ago and had traveled to Ohio as
well, for "Quarkstock."

I just changed my BOC-L subscription email to kkusic at gmail.com instead of
the old, kkusic at execpc.com.

If anyone would like a free invite to this relatively new, free, gmail
service from Google, I have 49+ invitations left. Let me know. kkusic at gmail.com

Okay... I have a new part time job repping Epson computer printers on the
weekend. Last weekend, I had a customer with a wonderful British accent. I
happened to mention that one of my favorite bands was Hawkwind, and the
customer, Bruce Gilchrist, told me that his brother, Andrew Gilchrist, was a
huge Hawkwind fan and had even travelled around with the group for a while.

Is Andrew on the BOC-L list? Does anyone know him? It was just such a cool
coincidence to meet someone else here in the US, in the Midwest no less,
with a Hawkwind connection in the UK.

Oh!

I also wanted to respond to the posts regarding "Killing Joke." I also am a
Killing Joke fan and had the chance to see them in 2003, the last time they
toured Milwaukee. Let's just say, it was "nothing" like the first time I
had seen them... maybe 10 years ago, or so. *That* was amazing. The 2003
tour was *not* their best due to illness and too much partying. I'm very
glad to hear that they've pulled themselves together again to move forward.

Well... I complained to the venue in 2003 and they put me in touch with the
band's manager!

I think I posted this to BOC-L before, but I was able to get an interview
with the band, for another DJ friend who was there, at the "show."

I've uploaded the interview again, in case anyone wants to download it:

This is the 22MB version. I also have it recorded in higher formats but
thought this was best, for downloading purposes.

Cheers, everyone.

Karen
