Hi - I'm not coming down myself - dates just don't work out but
I've found this a very useful site.

http://www.hotels-london.co.uk/

Put in the start date and the number of nights you want to stay and
then arrange the results in price order.  Click on an individual
hotel and it'll tell you how many singles/doubles etc are still
available.

Not sure how many hotels the site has in the area around the
Astoria but it might be worth a try!
