A lost fan?

Regarding who has the rights to the studio material..HOW DID EMI MANAGE TO 
RELEASE THE 30 YEAR ANTHOLOGY TRIPLE CD??..which covers ALL the different 
Hawkwind studio label recordings etc etc..Surely then..EMI..COULD, 
theoretically, RELEASE ALL the Studio cds AS WELL???
     ? :-/
