I think that depends on a lot of factors: the quality of the CDR  
(like cassettes, not all are created equal), how it's stored, stuff  
like that.  I've got CDRs older than this one (2001) that are still  
going strong, so I'd guess my problems with this simply result from a  
dodgy run of CDRs used in the release.
