I remember the kibosh on trading (bad idea, IMO) but have forgotten any 
live downloads service (probably because I would have had difficulty 
believing in it ;)

Did they?  I know they've been releasing archive stuff, but haven't read 
about the work done on the sources.  It wouldn't surprise me in the 
least, though!
