Right you are! This is the very thing that keeps military strategists awake  
at night and arms dealers fat and happy. Offensive weapons are relatively 
cheap  compared with the cost of their defensive counterparts. This point has been 
 proven in Middle Age Europe  re; Castle fortresses v. Cannon,  Irag re: 
$150.000.00 humvee troop carriers v. $800.00 IEDs or in the USA  re: zillion 
dollar airforce defense systems v. a few hijacked jets. Throw in a  few folks who 
are suicidal and everyone got big problems. Not to mention a  determined enemy 
who does not fight by the established rules of warfare, think  Gentleman 
Johnny ( the bastards are fighting behind trees ) Burguoine). Or, the  7th century 
Muslims who pretty much invented the concept of the Strategic  Retreat--not 
very honorable that lot, they take off their uniforms :0.
