On Saturday, December 20, there is a Hawkwind tribute night entitled "Psychedelic Warlords: A Tribute to Hawkwind" happening at the Velvet Lounge in Washington DC. 
All bands appearing will be performing Hawkwind songs. 

The lineup so far consists of DC avant-improv/psych band Kohoutek, Ultrabunny (featuring orignal Bunnybrains members Malcolm Tent and Bobby Bunny) and probably Philly psych band Bardo Pond although they are not 100% confirmed at this time. One other act TBA. There will also be killer psych/prog/kraut DJ sets downstairs by DJs Naraku, Provoke and Elephant Bone. 

$8 cover charge, doors at 9:00 

It should be quite the mindfryer...
