Problems getting the Magna DVD

Seems there's a message going around that there's a problem distributing
the Magna DVD due to objections by Alan Davey.

I tried to get to three of the gigs on the December tour. It was
obviously frustrating that Manchester was cancelled due to the problems
with the building's fire alarm. The frustration was compounded by my
inability to obtain my Magna DVD at the merchandise stall. I'd
forgotten my passport (of course I had it at Manchester) and despite
everyone on the stall knowing who I was, there were orders that nobody
could get one without a passport. I can sort of see where this is
coming from - obviously they don't want to issue more than are due, but
it still seems to be putting bureaucracy before just getting the job
done. Now it's very much more frustrating to learn that I can't have a
copy at all until the problems are resolved. Given the Hawkestra
ructions, I tend to assume that such arguments mean that these things
won't necessarly ever be resolved. That causes real pain for us
completists...

I do understand that Hawkwind are frustrated by this too. They say that
they (including Alan) promised this item and they'd like to get it out
to us.

I'd like to encourage that. I certainly did intend to continue buying
Alan's output, including Four Track Mind. Pending a statement from
Alan's camp on the Magna DVD though, I'm minded to hold off on putting
any more of my money in that direction. I concede that there may be a
reasonable explanation and I'm certainly willing to listen - I'm not
promoting an absolute boycott. However, I'm cross about this and would
like to make that point.

Can anyone possibly forward these sentiments and my request for a
statement from them to Alan's folks?

If I've got hold of the wrong end of the stick on this (unfortunately
not an unknown occurence) then I'd appreciate correction and will
apologise as necessary.
