I'm guessing from context that you don't know which particular asshole
it was?

The story there was I have the BBC disk. I was in talks with Doug Smith
to get an official release. I'd made one cassette of it for someone I
trusted and on specific instructions it go to nobody else. He made one
cassette for one other person, as he later admitted and that person had
Dawn of Hawkwind released from his dodgy second generation cassette
copy.

This caused a very great deal of grief for me from Doug Smith (he never
spoke to me again afterwards) and obviously the spiking of any
possibility of an official release.

Yes. I know who you are. Feel free to confess to the brothers...
