 I remember having a lab coat, and wearing it to Donnington the year Hawkwind played.

pretty much singled myself & my buddy out for the drug squad. Who went through our pockets etc, and asking me really carefully to open a folded piece of paper, only to reveal the telephone number of the hotel our dad was staying at for the day whilst we went to festival...
we were about 15 hahahahahaha


 


 The policemans comment on why we were searched, "well did didn't look like the rest, you got lab coats on, everyone else has demin "

The painted lab coat came in very useful, once the bottles of piss and shit started being thrown from the back, we managed to stay dry & clean !!!!!

We didn't go back :-)

Something to do with Dave wearing them on stage I think. Some fans just
started wearing them too. Then the fashion for decorating them took off.
