syd

[Burro Mike]

The writer sounds very sincere to me. I'm sure 'roger' could scare the pants off of someone, especially a kid. I think the writer is honest in their concern about the effects of drug use. Unfortunately I don't think one can use syd as a 'one size fits all' poster child for the effects of illegal drugs. Individuals react to drugs in individual ways. Still this bit was insightful, and certainly adds a much needed dose of reality to the legend of syd barrett.
