Subject: Mick Farren and the Deviants - Real Music Cub, Brighton

The gig was, of course, a sell-out. Mick Farren was in superb form, his =
aura shone, his libido suffused the enraptured Real Music Clubbers who =
vociferously displayed their appreciation of the legendary rock and =
literary master.

On stage with Mick were original Deviants, Duncan Sanderson, and Russel =
Hunter, with Inner City Unit's social revolutionary axeman Judge Trev, =
street busker slide guitarist Slim Tim Slide, and Paradise 9's Greg =
Mckella.

There is a strong possibility that Farren might relaunch a major =
Deviants campaign next spring, based in the UK and featuring some of =
the new line-up.=20

Whatever the future brings, it seems clear that the messages of human =
awareness, self determination and social freedom that are the Deviants =
traditional stock-in-trade will make more than just ripples in our 21st =
Century "Big brother" reality.

* Just found a flier for a gig with Bonzo Dog Doodah band headlining
over The Nice and Junior's Eyes, and on the back it advertises two
LPs: Tyrannosaurus Rex and the Social Deviants! What year would that
have been, with Viv Stanshall bigger than Keith Emerson?
