It's actually not a bad interview, it certainly makes Nik out to be more of a jazz musician (or musician period) than the Hawkwind-related stories I've read.

I would have said perhaps Didier Malherbe, 'Bloomdido Bad De Grasse' from Gong was surely earlier..on the bringing Jazz to Rock Front....
