BOC: Boxed Set Questions

All the remasters (OYFoOYK, FoUO, Mirrors, CE, CN, RbN, and Imaginos) sound
much better to me.
They are louder, more bass, more punchy and more detail. I wouldn't go as
far as to say they are as good
as the first set of remasters, which I think are about as good as it gets.
The difference is most noticable
on Mirrors & CE where the original CDs sounded very thin indeed, however,
even CN & Imaginos are
much improved which I didn't really expect.

Rarities disc varies quite a bit. The 4 tracks from the bootleg EP don't
really sound any better than versions
I've heard before. The 5 Mirrors era live tracks are great versions, nice to
have. The couple of cover versions
are great, the SWU demo is not as good quality as the 4 tracks we got on the
BOC 1st album remaster.

Radios Appear is effectively a best of the 4 download concerts. I already
had all those 4 concerts in some form or another.
The captured live one I had on 3 LP radio station vinyl and the others I had
on bootleg CD or downloaded.
These new downloads are the best they have ever sounded. Well worth the
money.

Like most of us on this list, I have all the original LPs, then all the
original CDs - many of which I paid import
prices in HMV / Tower London back in the day - and then all the remaster CDs
as well. This box set is still
worth the money in my opinion. Only thing is it will be a shame if we don't
get any more official BOC releases.

And... whats with putting the extra track "Substitute" on the promo only
sampler? Now I'm gonna have to
shell out more cash on eBay for that. I don't really want to spend $50 on
one new track...
Basically same thing that happened with "God Save Blue Oyster Cult From
Themselves" disc has happened again.
