HQCD involves a polycarbonate which is more optically transparent coupled with a more reflective metal surface, and this is supposed to result in improved and richer sound quality.  I have all of the Japanese HQ Hawkwind CD's and there may indeed be something to this claim, as  they all sound great.

As of right now, I'm intending to go to the Chicago show and the three dates in TX.
