>>> Hi Christian, and friends,
>>> I have listened to the SR on Youtube, of course I do intend to purchase it. I do agree on what has been said about how sweet the clarity is, however, the performance is quite different from the SR I grew up with. Lemmy told Chris Dave is a telepathic guitar player, and they did have a chemistry going then on Born to go, but I don't here that kind of interplay on that track, the synth and guitar work is very clear and the playing is first rate. , yes the bass is not as thunderous as we'd like, and I miss Nik's work on that track. The flow was broken by the break in a very nice performance of DTTN, I still love the playing on the end on the original, the playing on this was very sweet. I do wish Dave could have fronted more of the vocals on songs like Lord Of Light, the power in the original was what drew me to the album. the guitar work is great. . too. Space is deep was good to hear again, but I just love the arpeggios at the end of the song the original w!

>>> Nik's spacy vocals, and the tasty interplay between guitar and bass, it's not as hypnotic. The Electronic space for sound, is superb, is very spacy, but like a lot in the revision, some of the original madness, and edginess, to the performance we all have grown to know and love isn't there. Well, I think you get where my opinion is at, and I don't need to boor you with My opinion of each song.
>>> A few thoughts in closing, I often wonder how it would be if the band were to ditch some of the digital toys, like a click track, and go back to totally spacing out, free form, no practice, it can be done, even without the acid. (just kidding, I couldn't help it, it must have been induced by the music). I have always liked Richard's style, so this is not a dig at Richard, my friend, who's musicianship I do respect and his drumming sounds good to me. I'm glad he's still in the band, you'll never meet a nicer person, and am glad he took up singing, although he claimed he never would, many years ago, since he said, drummers don't sing. I think we're used to the original being more driven, and bass heavy. The execution of the playing, and the musical arrangements are well done the spirit is different, but so is the time. It is nice to hear the revisiting of that space in time especially since I couldn't be there for the original. I've loved the so-called mud!
 dy s!
>>> ound of the original, which put Chris off at first, but when he listened to it, he was beaming on it, too. I guess we do like the scare. It would be sweet to bring the, technological knowledge and equipment back to the 70's,, and hear Space Ritual with a audio file mix, or get the members together today with the right headspace, and modern technology, well, that would be light-years ahead of its time. I'll always love the original, it's 1 of those 10 albums I'd take into Space, I fell in love the first time I heard it. It was unique, and new. ultimately like you can't go home again, Space Ritual was an experience, Bob Calvert cannot be replaced, and that lineup, was special. it is nice to have this experience of the show, recreated but like many phenomena, it was something that happened. I do still intend to get the discs, I want to hear it in surround off the receiver, hearing music on the computer isn't nearly as good. . Thankfully, Hawkwind are still play!
 ing,!
>>> and Pandora did leave hope in the box, even though she seemed to forget us over here, (sob). Ah well, I have been to a couple of shows.
>>>
>>> Well, there you have it,

>>>> As you know, I had a blast at Mr. Wilson shows. I met 1 girl who went to 4 already, he did vary it a bit, but his talking between songs was different each night, and I'd go again for the quality of the surround, and the show. He's a professional. No meet and greet, though, I wanted to say hello. Ah well, it was worth it. Well, next we go for some of that weird contemporary music, and thanks for hipping me to the SS track. Steve and I are now friends, he's a great guy. I always get a birthday greeting from him. Well, I don't like waking up this early, I like this time of day, but I wake with the damn headache and since I don't move when I sleep I can hardly bend my back on waking. Maybe I'll do a bit of yoga, or something. I could simply pat the cat. Now, there's an idea. He's right next to me. I have a lot of music to check out.

>>>>> Once again, it's a matter of finding the book with the flyers and other pictures we affectionately called the "Hawklog," with pictures from tour, and other hawkwind related memorabilia. The flyers were very simple, but a way of networking, I do wish I had access to them myself. Maybe I should have done a back up in Braille? They, with most of my life with Chris are still at my brother's house, with the luck I've had getting the belongings from my family, I don't hold out much hope, (honestly I'm really angry and bitter about the help I got with my belongings from my family,) but that is counterproductive. I will see what I can do though. Tim doesn't have a car, any positive vibes are welcomed, and Tim and I will do what we can, sometimes it would be nice if we could pick our families, I love them, but can't rely on them either.
