Thanks

Yeah. Imaginos is a weird underrated delicacy, i always play the disco Astronomy... woohoo, fast forward super fast movements in the brain signals to that one. Also i really liked Heaven Forbid back then. It was like the pulse of late 90s "the Endtimes" streetlife version of BOC kinda, like Hawkwind were doing with the city punk / dread-festie scene vibe on their underrated late 90s albums like "In Your Area" and "Distant Horizons" with Capt. Rizz and Ron Tree. Heavy, punky, sci-fi slicky rocky ish weird mythic darkness edge. Upon the millenium Hidden Mirror got some good tunage too, i just now recall "Pocket", hmm... gonna dig that one out soon. I loved the 2 covers on HF like they didnt want the scarred dude in the attic but the blond Oyster angel chick muahah. But it was the nadir or "The End" in a roman wilderness of "Pain" for the few last core members to churn out post-Club Ninja stuff (barring Imaginos which is kind of a mixabout concoction overtime a "non BOC yet a BOC album for those that thought CJ blew chunks (which i thought anyway)". I saw on Discogs the Joe Bouchard albums were proper Silver pressed items. So suwper kewl man. I will get just the one you mentioned and check it out.

I know 2OC will do a "greatest hits and More Cowbell" thang whatever. Its all good. I know alot of goateed old men will be there with their wenches. And they wont fear the ... Reaper? Pension age maybe, but not Reaper. Yet.

Well, the packaging is DIY - those are the days we live in. The CD's, however, are factory pressed - not CDRS - and the recording
quality is very high.

2OC is a good time, but nothing more. They basically play everything by the numbers, but Castellano/Sultan/Radino are the best musicians Eric and Buck have recruited since the originals departed. Though I am quite fond of the Imaginos era lineup, circa 1988-89. It's a shame we'll never get another new BOC album in any form. Performing AOF in its entirety at BB King's
in NYC recently is the most creatively vital thing the band has done in ages and it's a retro-themed show.

Thanks Jason for input. Well it got me going on the BOC & relations collecting and enjoyment factor... i dont know how much Joe contributed to the 2 Blue Coupe CDs but i dig them totally. I think it was that i was friends with John Shirley on FB and that link popped up and i am friends with Bouchard bros. as well. Joe is even dedicating each CD to each person who orders one like a little bracket with the order "your name" and you get a free guitar pick or sumptin. I dont pick guitars (but my ass? my nose? pick mushrooms?)... Afraid if its a touchy subject, but are they like CD-R type and Inkjet desktop cover things or what? the cover photo montage and website looks like home cooked Corel Draw disaster 1989 or something. But hey i dont doubt the music is suffering - after all BOC were the real deal. And Joe was all on massive stadiums worldwide, whatnot so he knows...

BTW I mentioned in a trillionth post ago (i am chilling with the Bad company here onlist) 2OC are playing here in Norway in august but i think it sold out already. Wanna go but Eric & Buck & the rest might miss my Oysterous company on their only ever Norwegian gig so far? Same venue i saw Hawkwind in 2014 in the town of Drammen outside Oslo.... Union Scene in Drammen has gotten to be like a huge rock n roll party town center now for bigger bands in medium/small venues. And all the bikers camp out in Drammen, Bandidos or whatever. Plus its got a huge percentage of teenage gothic people who hang around the comic store (Outland) and tattoo parlor there (Leading Light).

In Joe we trust... (helps hamburgers?)

PS: maybe i should surf over to Discogs for some Joe Bouchard discography diving around.

Joe's hooked up with a great lyricist, John Elwood Cook, and that's helped make his solo work in recent years much more
memorable. One thing is for sure - Joe's talents were NOT served being in BOC. I'd recommend his solo album Tales
from an Island.

Anyone heard it? Saw he posted something on FB. Only availible from his site or something.

Blue Coupe 2 albums are soooo good. And of course Al over in the old Brain Surgeons, though the last one Denial Of Death is really the only one i get around to playing and the odds n ends one with Hassan I Sahba stuff like that.
