Paul Eaton Jones (the Hawkwind fan who hates hippies and luvvy duvvy dippy shit!) on the Yahoo list said it had too much of the "squashed guitar" from Brock but i love that sound on the Brock solo stuff myself.

Listened to "Solitary Man" a couple times - wasn't moved, just more recycled Brockwind, "Streets of Fear" riff (again). Not that I was expecting much, Onward didn't blow my mind either. BotE and TMtYL at least had a couple great tunes, I thought... It's fine tho - I don't look to HW to provide exhilarating space-rock anymore, there are enough younger bands these days filling the void. Chuck

wish me luck.. still waiting on the new Hawkwind CD! harumph. Alisa Coral of Space Mirrors says its the best since Alien 4 and is reminiscent of Masques and Codex era HW. People on the Yahoo forum mostly slag it as garbage, poor etc.

The Solitary Man / Tunnells of Darkness (unreleased anywhere else) 7" i out 27th may. I have pre ordered mine at Cherry Red. The A side is from the new CD/2LP.

Also an interesting one i shall get is the Hassan RSD 7" with a rare b side, The Forge of Vulcan pt. 3 availible only on this rare single and on this RSD version! Nowhere to be found on CD!
