[boc-l] And now... a word from our sponsor

I’m back and forth on the album. Definitely need to listen to it a few more times. I like it, but it’s a concept album; and like several others, probably only going to listen to it when I have enough time to listen to it entire, rather than pulling out tracks to listen to.

Plus, with the gloriousness that was the light show, it’s almost as if it should be released to DVD; it would hold together fairly well as a concept video, too.

Really, I only hear one duffer on the album itself, and dangnabbit, but Hexagone is very earwormy; I have been having a devil of a time getting it out of my head.

I definitely think it’s a grower.

The concerts I managed to catch, on the other hand, were excellent. Like everyone else, watching Haz and Dave riff was a thing of true beauty.

Still waiting for the single....... and still assessing the album. Just because I wake up in the morning with certain of the tracks playing in my mind (I suspect it's the music equivalent of dreaming) doesn't mean the album completely appeals to me or at least to the aspect of Hawkwind I particularly enjoy - but give it time!

So, onto some actual HW-related content:

Now that the gigs are mostly done for the tour; what did everyone think? Still listening to the new album on repeat? Waiting for the single?

Thanks Terry - that was efficient! While not hugely comfortable with banning someone completely I am definitely not at all comfortable with the stuff I've been removing en-masse recently and would probably have unsubscribed by now if I could only remember how to do so! However given that this is a moderated list I would be entirely happy if there was some kind of automatic filter to stop the worst of the dross before it reached my screen and because I know this list and have been here since space knows how long, I place my trust entirely in the judgement of the moderators as to what that dross may be without destroying the integrity of this list. Here there is still a relaxed freedom and ease of reading that isn't really available elsewhere so I'd be sorry to lose it completely and it would be nice to get back to the easy comfort of reading and enjoying the occasional message as it drifts in.
