[boc-l] BOC: Re Imaginos

Finally got my CD copy and after a couple of listens, a few observations:

1. It's good! 😊
2. Nice to have the "missing" songs incorporated into the album. Even though we've had the Brain Surgeons versions for ages now, they weren't really of a piece with the 1988 album, and now they're all together sounding great
3. Reviving the "Prince Omega" moniker is a nice tribute to Sandy
4. In fact all the credits and thanks are very generous and gracious
5. It's maybe less bombastic than Imaginos 1988, and Albert's voice gives it a different vibe. Wasn't sure about the vocals at first, in fact, but it really has to be Albert telling us this story
6. Gil Blanco is a retired baseball player who spent 1965 with the New York Yankees
7. "Imaginos" is maybe the most different from the 1988 version, and Joe's trumpet especially gives it and "Gil Blanco County" a desert/border vibe appropriate to the lyric
8. Quandary/Sublime/Ghost/Dance !?!
9. Bring on _Bombs Over Germany_!

Thanks, Andy, for sharing these videos. You (and Albert) made my night!!!!
I've been listening to to Re Imaginos continuously since my copy arrived Monday.
Not like the BOC version, but not so dissimilar that it's disturbing.
It's nice that Albert gave these songs room to breath. This whole project has me much more excited than Symbol did. I find Symbol to be kind of Meh.
