is something broke?

I've seen a few posts lately where people have questioned if there was
something wrong with the service.  I'm questioning it now as I have had only
three messages in the last 24 hours.  BOC-L has never been this quiet.

Just for yucks - In the local library I consulted an encyclopedia of music.
 Of course BOC was in there and given credit for kicking off the heavy metal
movement in America.  There was a definition of Heavy Metal in the book that
caused me to laugh out loud.  The definition attributed the term to the
bands Black Sabbath (UK) and BOC(US).  Said that fans of these bands are
known as "Headbangers" for the way they react to the music.  They prefer
live over studio, have long hair and wear jackets covered with the symbols
of their favorite bands.  They are generally working class stiffs (blue
collar) who behave themselves reasonably well at concerts.  Headbangers are
predominatley male because a screaming guitar represented some type of
Phallic association with the music.  A subgroup of heavy metal was second
rate bands who could only master three chords and added punk tones to their
music.  One of the biggest proponents oof the second tier rockers was
Motorhead.

This made me laugh out loud in a public library.  The book also covered the
history of Motorhead, how Lemmy was kicked out of Hawkwind after he was
areested foor drugs (Smuggling?) during a Canadian tour.  Oddly the book
contained references to Hawkwind in two places (Motorhead) and some other
individual, but did not have a Biography for Motorhead.  BOC is referenced
in at least 8 different biographies, most notably Alans asscociation with
Patti Smith.  All the information contained in the version I saw was pretty
dated as they listed BOC's last album as RBN.  Penguin I beleive published
this thing.  If you can find it, it makes for some pretty humorous reading.
