BOC: cut the crap

Just a few comments on Theo and Steve's BOC comments...

I wish BOC would go ahead and try some new stuff as well - of course,
some of Buck's stuff was tried a few years ago in "The Red and the Black",
and perhaps the lack of success with that project has made him re-think
such things?

As far as letting the fans decide, and going out in a blaze rather than
dying a slow death... first of all, the band is gonna do what they are
gonna do - hopefully they enjoy it, and whatever they do the fans will
ultimately decide by buying into or not buying into the product. I
don't know which way is really "better" to go out (although hopefully
it isn't coming to that anytime too soon), and I think we've got to
leave that to the band to decide. But, this thread has been re-hashed
too many times for me to contribute to it rationally anymore. I'm
just gonna enjoy BOC for all its worth for as long as I can, and when
I die, maybe they can slip the headphones over my ears, put in the first
album in my portable CD player, and play "Stairway to the Stars" on
repeat mode until the batteries wear out . . .

Finally, there probably isn't a BOC fan out there who doesn't have some
desire to see the original line-up re-united again. But, that is a
"fantassy distillation of reality" - ain't gonna happen.

John
