>When was the last time they went out as Soft White Underbelly? I
understand that at one time they used to do special fans' shows which even
included Stalk Forrest material. I get the impression from recent postings
that some shows along those lines would be just what Dr Music ordered...

Last time I hear of a "Soft White Underbelly" BOC gig was in Boston in 1985. They
didn't do any old SWU/SFG material though. Actually, I think that even most of
the gigs they did as SWU in the 80's didn't have much SWU/SFG material - of course
the Old Waldorf show in 1980 has a great rendition of "Arthur Comics".

BOC doing "Soft White Underbelly" shows is probably no longer a viable
alternative - I mean billing themselves as SWU (I think it would be very cool
if they tried to revive a few of the old SWU/SFG tunes). BOC has a hard enough
time filling clubs -- how many people other than die-hard BOC fans (and their
numbers have dwindled greatly since the early 80's) would go see a band billed
as "Soft White Underbelly"?
