For the record, this neither hurt my feelings nor pissed me off.  Didn't
mean to come across that way.  I don't get offended by language, and don't
buy into this PC bizness, so really, it's not an issue.  I guess I just
felt like defending the south for some reason, though I probably have no more
personal allegiance to southern people than I do to the astronomical
community, for instance.

As for Jesse Helms, well, my old roommates in Chapel Hill and I came very close
to mailing him, COD, an old toilet that was removed from our house, perhaps
filled with something unpleasant to show him our support of the "preverted
arts"...  It's what Frank Zappa would have wanted us to do, isn't it...?
