Which has been sorely needed. so, with that in mind...

Predictions for Blue Öyster Cult and Hawkwind by the year 2000:

Dave Brock fires someone from the current line-up of Hawkwind.

Nik Turner tours the U.S. as "Not Hawkwind". Doug Smith threatens
"not to sue"...

BOC opens for Brain Surgeons somewhere in the northeast.

CBS decides to experiment with releasing re-mastered BOC
albums. They use Club Ninja to test the waters.

Hawkwind releases another album, but it contains so many
spelling errors fans aren't sure what the actual name is.

Sandy Pearlman finds a visual basic programmer to
do the Imaginos CD-ROM project.

After five years and over half a million pounds of funding,
R.O.D.S. unveils Sonique's Sonic Attack Robot and releases
it at a Hawkwind concert with orders to kill a "tall, bearded
guy wearing glasses". After trashing several similarly be-
spectacled concert-goers, Doug gets away by ditching his
glasses, and sues R.O.D.S. for using the words
"Sonic Attack" without permission.

While BOC is playing in Las Cruces, New Mexico, drummer
Jon O'Reilly (sp?) spontaneously combusts. Without time
to get another drummer, they call Albert to see if he would
cover the remaining week of their southwest tour before they
can get somebody else, on the condition that he not have a
mike and wears a godzilla mask throughout the show.
Albert finds a volunteer tosses the mask on him and flies
him out to meet the band. Since his voice
is muffled by the mask, and he never takes it off they
never realise until too late it's not albert... it's actually
Doug "Snowman" Mitchell!!

Fox plans to do a Dr. Who movie and wants Hawkwind to
redo the theme music, and appear as themselves on a
spaceship in a short sequence. but Doug Smith puts the
project on hold while they try to entertain offers from other
movie companies. While waiting, the studio hires Danny
Elfman instead.

BOC releases their SVP album, entitled "Label of unkown
origin", which becomes a huge hit in sweden, where they plan
to spend the entire summer (now with Bolle on drums)...
