Mis quoting Radio 4 from memory:

The attached 'Charter of the Forests' was as important as it applied to 
every one who lived in forests, which meant royal lands held directly and 
was a lot of people and includeed serfs too.
The important bit in Magna Carta was the introduction of the trial by peers 
idea apparently. Also both were extant statutes until 1976. or something.
