Choosing hotel for 40th anniversary gig

I just stayed at the Travelodge at Euston last month, and I can certainly say it's pretty bare bones...(no phone in room or way of contacting the front desk, single pillow, single towel, that kind of thing.)

Plus, when we were looking last, rates for those dates were in the 99 pound range. (Note: it's been awhile since we looked.)

I will note (from prior experience :-) ), that if you are interested in doing group bookings that you cannot really rely on internet information (with some few exceptions.) In the end, you end up having to call/email the meeting reservation or group booking folks and negotiating directly.

Best bet might be to identify which hotels/chains you wish to pursue, then contacting them directly.

Arin
(feeling terribly guilty for not volunteering to organize, yet.)

: Travelodge is 2.5 miles away, and gets great ratings on Trip Advisor.
: I can't figure out whether that's because it's so cheap (L19/night?)
: or whether it's actually a nice place. :)
