ISPnet Network Problems at 25 Broadway

Telehouse experienced a problem on their NYIIX (New York
International Internet Exchange) at approximately 19:00 EST
today.

This caused a problem within ISPnet's network affecting all
traffic, not just traffic transversing the NYIIX.

The symptoms were extremely high packet loss rates.

The ISPnet problems appear to have cleared when we shut down our
NYIIX connection at approximately 20:50 EST, with things running
smoothly for the past hour.

Please let us know immediately if you are still experiencing
problems of any sort.

Telehouse has not yet announced a resolution to their problems.

We will be working to understand the mechanism by which their
issues caused more than localized problems in the ISPnet network,
with the goal being to make our network more robust and less
susceptible to future reoccurances.

All that aside, please accpet our apologies for the
inconveniences caused by this evening's events.
