ISPnet has scheduled a two-hour maintenance window for this
coming Saturday/Sunday overnight:

Start: 00:00 AM EST, Sun, December 14, 2014 End: 02:00
AM EST, Sun, December 14, 2014

The work will be at the ISPNET POP at Telehouse, 7 Teleport
Drive, Staten Island, NY, and should affect only ISPnet
customers that have equipment colocated at that site.

Most ISPnet customers at this site are dual-connected, with
two cross-connects to ISPnet. Our expectation is that
these customers will be impacted minimally, with (at most)
a quick transition from one cross-connect to the other.

Customers with only a single cross-connect to ISPnet will
see a service interruption lasting from less than a minute
to up to fifteen minutes.

The purpose of the maintenance work is to replace switching
equipment and optical modules that are used on a 10Gig link
between our Staten Island POP and our POP at 85 Tenth Ave,
Manhattan.

We maintain two sets of equipment at the site for redundancy.
Our monitoring systems indicate that there are problems with
the equipment currently serving as the backup for this link.
We will be replacing a member of one switch stack and, as a
precaution, the optical modules associated with the circuit
in both stacks.

We regret any inconvenience caused but decided that this
work is necessary to preserve network reliability.

If you are a tenant of Telehouse in Staten Island with a
single connection to ISPnet and would like to upgrade to
dual-connection, please let us know as soon as possible.
There should be time to make this change before the
scheduled maintenance. There are no ISPnet fees associated
with this upgrade. Depending on your lease agreement with
Telehouse, there may be one-time and/or recurring Telehouse
charges.
