Is anyone suffering from the effects of El Niño?

More importantly (to me anyway), does anyone know if Colombia, esp.
Bogota, is suffering?
I've a very good friend living there for a year and I haven't heard from
her and this is me panicking and thinking she's been washed away by a
massive mudslide.

Any information?
